It is imperative for the Sunni Community to focus its attention on the education and training of their children. The home should be converted into an environment, colourfully rich in the Sunnat -e-Rasool (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam). These dangerous and delicate times dictate that the Ulema cast aside their quest for personal power and prestige, and work towards furthering the Cause of Islam, lest they be held accountable to the Almighty Allah for the decadence in the Ummah.”
This is the message of Allama Azhari, the Khateeb of the Jamia Masjid of Port Louis, Mauritius to the Imam Ahmed Raza Academy, Durban.
Allama says that communities throughout the world have become weary of the dangerous influences of materialism and its consequences, which has resulted in a despondent youth population that has adopted a suicidal path in life. Over the period of the last two years, Europe has recorded with shock, not only an increase in events relating to juvenile crime, but also an increase in the number of youth committing suicide.
It is therefore incumbent, now more than ever before, for the Muslim Ummah to concentrate and focus strongly on individual progress in acquiring Islamic knowledge and strengthening their spiritual ties with the Creator, Almighty Allah. In doing so, the elders could become convincing guides and examples to the youth.
The Ulema and the Mashaa’ikh ought to provide the necessary leadership and guidance with absolute selflessness and sincerity. Every effort ought to be made to contemplate ways and means of turning the attention of the youth towards the wholesome and pure values in life as shown to us by the Noble Prophet of Islam (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam).
The role and responsibility of the Khanqahs and masaajids in these times is very important. In reviewing the present day status and arrangement of masaajids, religious institutions and Khanqahs, Allama Saheb states that these places which once housed Spiritual centres are now sadly in the control of materialistically inclined people who have neither the feelings for Islam at heart, nor the true ability to contribute spiritually or morally towards the well-being of Muslims in general. The masaajid, madaaris and Khanqahs ought to be run by sincere Ulema in mutual consultation with, and assistance from, religiously God-fearing individuals.
It is a grave moment of confusion and concern when the leadership of the Ummah passes into the hands of those who lack God-fearing qualities and possess no conscience.
May Almighty Allah protect us all from all forms of materialism and depravity. AMEEN.

Preparing For A Good Friend

A good friend is someone who benefits you, who is good to you, treats you well and, indeed, treats you. A good friend bestows gifts upon you and shields you from harm and creates circumstances for you to better yourself in different aspects of your life. What greater friend is there then than the holy month of Ramadhan in the Islamic Calendar. For when it arrives, it brings nothing but goodness upon goodness.
“When Ramadhan arrives, the gates of Paradise are opened, the gates of Hell are closed and the devils are chained.” (Bukhari, Muslim)
It seems as though the previous month last year has not even just gone by and this year’s Ramadhan has already arrived. By the grace of Allahu azza wa jall it has arrived and we now need to get into a more proactive state of mind in order to reap maximum benefit from this month. The two main acts of worship in this month are the fasting as Allah has prescribed to us in Surat al-Baqarah of the Holy Noble Qur’an and the tarawih prayer that is performed every night of the month.
This month is a month where we ask for Allah’s mercy, His forgiveness of our sins and for admittance into al-Jannah. We must, as we approach Ramadhan, begin to take stock of where we are in terms of Deen, how much we practice, how much we know, how much we affect others and whether generally there is barakah in our life and His signs or not. For at whatever stage we may be at, Ramadhan is an opportunity to give our iman and taqwa a big boost.
To attain taqwa, or God-consciousness, is the primary reason why we fast so that is the first thing that we need to keep in mind when we make our intention for the coming fasts. Not that so we get an idea of how hungry people feel, not so that we lose some weight but for taqwa. One of the results that fasting achieves is that you are constantly aware during the day of Allah seeing you which is why a Muslim never breaks a fast intentionally. The aim of fasting is to prolong that state of mind throughout the year. (Just to add, it is advisable upon breaking one’s fast to eat small amounts first, wait about half an hour and then have a medium-sized meal otherwise you will put on weight)
The tarawih is another important part of the process of Ramadhan, of constant dhikr, remembrance, devotion and worship even though it is not obligatory. If Ipods are a trademark of Apple, then the trademark of Ramadhan Sharif is the Holy Qur’an.
“The month of Ramadhan is the month in which the Qur’an was sent down.” (al-Baqarah: 185)
Indeed the month of Ramadhan is the month of the Qur’an and it is well advisable for a Muslim to strengthen his or her relationship with the Qur’an especially in this blessed month. The Qur’an is the root of our Deen, from where everything comes from, it’s recitation food for all souls for all time, the guidance therein a light for mankind. Start reciting some Qur’an every day, practice your recitation and aim to finish one recitation of Qur’an yourself in the coming month. Be diligent and disciplined with regards to the tarawih prayer; do not miss one night of prayer if you can help it. This special occasion comes but once a year, as a Divine Gift so do not miss out on it. Make a habit now of going to the mosque to pray salah in jamaat wherever and whenever possible.
Finally, the last part of Ramadhan: the last ten days incorporating the night of power or laylat al-qadr. These ten days are days in which some people make intention to do and do I’tikaf or ‘retreat’ in a Masjid. If one is able to take time out from one’s commitments then this is a very beneficial spiritual exercise for one’s spirituality as it takes a lot of discipline and comprises much devotion. Lastly on the subject of laylat al-qadr, many masaajid hold a big event on the 27th night of Ramadhan claiming that that is the night of power. It may be or it may not be, even though there are narrations to that effect.
However, I conclude with the Prophetic advice: “Seek Laylat al-Qadr in the odd numbered nights, among the last ten of Ramadhan.” (Bukhari)
Try to worship as much as you can, try to do tilaawah as much as you can, try to give in charity as much as you can, try to do as many good deeds for Allah, to people and for your own progression, do not forget the Zakat al-Fitr and remember to revise the method of praying the salah of Eid al-Fitr. May Allah make this a beneficial month for all Muslims and may we exit it better than when we entered it.
The Essence Of Ramadhan

It is with great joy and happiness that I congratulate my fellow Muslims on the arrival of this Blessed month of Ramadhan. Once again we have an opportunity to have our sins forgiven and our Ranks elevated in the eyes of the Almighty.
All over the Islamic world people are Preparing for the coming of this blessed month. Mosques are being decorated and cleaned in anticipation of the coming Taraweeh prayers. Mums are stocking up on samosas and other savoury snacks. Children are busy talking about the various things they are going to have at Iftaar.
In short every Muslim young or old, male or female is eagerly awaiting the sighting of the moon that will mark the advent of this Holy month.
With the arrival of the electronic media and in particular the Islamic TV Channels there is a real wealth of information being passed on to people about this Holy month and its blessings. I feel therefore there is no need for me to go into any lengthy or detailed discussion about Ramadhan and its merits. What I would like to do however is to draw my fellow Muslims attention to the following Hadith; Abu Huraira related that Rasulullah (PBUH) said: “Many people who fast get nothing from their fast except hunger and thirst.”
Dear brothers and sisters, it is no secret that today we find ourselves in a very immoral and decadent society, everything seems to evolve around wealth and materialism. Both secular and Religious events are exploited for their commercial value. I will never forget the Ramadhan which I spent in Egypt, where the best movies would come on in the nights of Ramadhan and prices of almost all the goods would rise in the bazaars. Here in England as well, Christmas is a time to party, get drunk and buy presents for everyone. I sometimes feel that Muslims have begun to see Islam as Christians view their faith i.e a set of symbolic rituals, which maybe a lot of fun but have no deeper significance.
We have to ask ourselves, how many of us actually realise that there is more to Ramadhan than just going hungry?
So many of us will go through this month, without giving this a second thought. We will continue to shout, to swear, to watch haraam on TV. We wont change our manners and we wont try and follow the Prophets’ example.
There will be many of us who won’t offer a single prayer except maybe jummah if we’re lucky. We will abstain from food and drink and we will think ourselves pious. Our tongues will continue to eject venom but we won’t care, we will injure many with our thoughtless and hurtful words, but we won’t stop to think about the real essence of Saum (fasting).
Dear brothers and sisters a real saim is one who abstains from all evil acts while he is fasting. If someone swears at you it is a hadith that in reply you must say ” I am fasting”.
Dear brothers and sisters, our Imans are of varying strengths, in this month we have to try and increase our Iman. We have to cut down and if possible eradicate those actions which are outside the boundries of Islam.
If you watch too much TV ask yourself how many hours of your life are you wasting. This life, such a precious gift of Allah, what are we doing with it? How will we face him in Qiyamat? So many of us sit around making idle conversation, backbiting, telling tales etc.. Wouldn’t it be better to do the zikr of Allah?
This month should be a time of reflection, we must look at our lifestyles and aim to bring them into line with the Quran and sunnah. The path to salvation is difficult; the road is long with many obstacles along the way. However there is no better time to embark on this journey than this month. The Shaytan are locked away and in chains. We’ve just got our nafs to deal with, the enemy within, It is time to declare JIHAD against the nafs.
May Allah bless us with courage and strength so that we may achieve victory in this struggle.

Muslim Students Organization of India,(MSO) AMU Unit Organized its 4th Grand Azmat-e-Rasool (S.A.W) Conference on 22nd March from 8.00 p.m iin the Kennedy Auditorium of Aligarh Muslim University Aligarh,India.
MSO ,which was established in AMU in 1983 by Advocate Ismail Wafa of Kerala has spread in atleast five states spreading the message of Quran and Sunnah among Youths.Prof Syed Ameen Mian Qaudri of Urdu deptt AMU who is also Sajjada Nashin of Barkatiya Silsila , and Sheikh Aboobacker Ahmed,Gen Secretary of All India Sunni Jamiatul Ulema are its Patron.
Programme Started with the recitation of Verses from Holy Quran.Thereafter Mohammad Zaid,Mujibul Haq Qadri,Abdul Wakeel Presented Naatiya Kalam in the praise of Nabi Kareem Sallaho alaihi wasallam.AMU Unit President Mohammad Najmuddin Presented Welcome adress.Sajjada Nashin of Ajmer Dargah Prof Liaqat Hussain Moini appealed the students to develop their Character according to Islam.
National General Secretary of MSO ,Shahnawaz Warsi presented annual report of MSO activities and appealed students to join MSO to spread the true message of Islam.He told that Sufism has been an integral part of Islam and by its Peaceful methodology only Peace can be established.
Vice Chancellor of AMU Prof P.K Abdul Azis advised students to work hard in their education field.He told them to follow the Seerah of Rasulallah Sallaho alaihi wassalam.He Congratulated MSO Unit for organizing such a grand and disciplined meet in the University.

Maulana Usaidul Haq Asim Qadri ,Director of Al Azhar Institute Badaun ,described the difficulties faced by our beloved Prophet of Islam in Spreading Islam in Arab.He said that Islam could be established only due to the high character and Immense qualities possesed by our beloved Prophet Muhammad Sallaho alihi wasallam which were given to him by Allah Rabbul Izzat.
Prof Syed Muhamamd Ameen Mian emphasised on hard work for the youth.He said that only hard work can bring success for you in academics or in your careers.He said that Mehfil-e-Milad are the chances for us to get more Knowledge about our beloved Prophet of Islam.

The natia compititoin was held on 1st january 2009 at Taj palace in bareilly it was organized by M.S.O Bareilly unit members the naat compititation Alham-du-lillah went very successful this compititoin was organized to promote motivate and to bring the listners and lovers of reciting naats having beautiful voices in front of the muslim society.
Alham-du-lillah approximatly 100 students participated in it from which 17 beautiful & extraordinary voices were choosen by organizing four audition. A speical Thanks to Mufti Sayyed kafeel Ahmad, Maulana Sageer Akhtar Misbahi, Mufti Farooq Sahab were among the judges who gave their precious time in taking the auditions of the student. 1st jan 2009 जागरण संवाददाता: कन्जुल इमान इस्लामिक लाईब्रेरी द्वारा शहामतगंज के ताज पैलेस में स्टूडेन्ट कान्फ्रेंस का आयोजन किया गया। इसमें तालीम हासिल करने पर खास जोर रहा। इस अवसर पर मुख्य अतिथि साऊथ अफ्रीका के मौलाना शाह उल हमीद ने इल्म की तालीम पर जोर दिया। उन्होंने कहा कि इल्म के बगैर इंसान का कोई वजूद नहीं। इसमें मौलाना रिजवान रजा खां, सुहैब रजा खां, केरला के जोहेरुद्दीन, दिल्ली के शुजात अली कादरी आदि ने भी सम्बोधित किया। कार्यक्रम के दौरान नातिया मुकाबला भी हुआ। इसके ए-श्रेणी में पहला इनाम हासिल किया मुहम्मद फुरकान आलम ने। दूसरा इनाम साहिबा खानम ने और तीसरे के हकदार बने नवैदुल कादरी। इनको क्रमश: गरीब नवाज, बाबा फरीद और साबिर पाक एवार्ड से नवाजा गया। इसी तरह बी-श्रेणी में मुहम्मद मिसकात हुसैन को पहला, मुहम्मद बिलाल को दूसरा और कमर मुनीर को तीसरा इनाम मिला। इनमें आला हजरत, मुफ्ती आजम हिन्द व सदरउल उलेमा एवार्ड दिये गये। इसके अलावा सी-श्रेणी में मुहम्मद तय्यब रजा पहले, मुहम्मद नईम तहसीनी व तौसीफ रजा खां तीसरे स्थान पर रहे। इन्हें महबूबे इलाही, दाता गंज-ए-शकर व मौलाना शाह आले रसूल एवार्डो से नवाजा गया। इन सभी को मौलाना हस्सान रजा खां ने इनामात से नवाजा। यह कान्फ्रेंस बरेली में मुस्लिम स्टूडेन्ट आर्गेनाइजेशन (एमएसओ) के कायम करने के मौके पर आयोजित की गयी थी। नातिया मुकाबले के निर्णायक मंडल में मुफ्ती कफील अहमद, मुफ्ती फारूख व मुफ्ती सगीर अख्तर आदि रहे। निजामत मौलाना सगीर अख्तर मिसवाही ने की। कार्यक्रम के अयोजन में काशिफ हुसैन साबरी, आमिर तहसीनी के अलावा काशिफ नूरी, जावेद अख्तर, मुहम्मद रजा नूरी, तहसीन, अीबद, इमरान खान, अब्दुल हफीज, मुफ्ती हनीफ खान आदि का सहयोग रहा।

अलीगढ़। मुस्लिम स्टूडेंटस ऑर्गेनाइजेशन ऑफ इंडिया (एमएसओआई) के बैनर तले एएमयू एसएस साऊथ हॉल में संगोष्ठी हुई, जिसमें मुख्य अतिथि आल इंडिया सुन्नी जमीयतुल उलमा के जनरल सेक्रेटरी शेख अबू बकर अहमद ने कहा कि मुस्लिम समाज के लोग सभी मजहब केलोगों से बेहतर रिश्ते कायम करें। उन्होंने कहा कि मदरसे में सबसे पहले पढ़ाई जाने वाली हदीस पर अमल करें तो समाज से दहशतगर्द समाप्त हो जाएंगे।
उन्होंने कहा कि यदि नबी का अखलाक दहशतगर्दी होता तो बड़ी संख्या में लोग मुसलमान न होते। जो भारत का दोस्त है, वह हमारा दोस्त है। जो भारत का दुश्मन है, वह हमारा दुश्मन है। हिन्दुस्तान के सभी लोग हमारे दोस्त हैं। उन्होंने छात्रों से आह्वान किया कि वे सिर्फ यह सोचें कि पढ़ाई में अव्वल कैसे आएंगे। शराब और बुरे कामों से बचें।
विशिष्ट अतिथि डा. बीडी खान ने कहा कि मुसलमान कभी दहशतगर्द नहीं हो सकता। मदरसे में पढ़ने वाले बच्चे जो आरक्षण का फार्म नहीं भर सकते, वे आईएसआई के एजेंट कैसे हो सकते हैं। कार्यक्रम में वरिष्ठ छात्र मोहम्मद मुश्ताक सफी, सफरद्दीन अजहरी, एमएसओ के उपाध्यक्ष मोहम्मद अली सकiफी, सचिव मोहम्मद शहवाज आदि मौजूद थे।
Urs e Qasmi Barkaati was Celebrated with great Splendour

One of the Most Celebrated Qadri Khankah of the time in India i.e Khankahe Barkatiya Celebrated its Annual Urs Sharif named Urs e Qasmi Barkati in Marehra Sharif distt etah of Uttar Pradesh India in a three days long gathering of thousand of devotees i.e Murred and Scholars gatherred here from all Over the India along with Pakistan and Bangladesh which started on 14 th and finished on sunady 16th Nov 2008.The Special Invitees Included Alhaj Owais Raza Qaudri ,Mufti Mukarram of Delhi shahi Jama Masjid Fatehpuri and Others.Programme was Presided Over by the Sajjada Nashin and Care taker of the Dargah Prof Syed Mohammad Ameen Mian Qaudri.on the second day a Conference named Fikr-o-Tadbeer Conference was also Organized with the aim to discuss all the current Problem faced by the Muslim World and the solution of them in the Light of Quran and Sunnah.
MSO Conducted a Help cum educational, three day long Camp in the urs sharif.atleast 120 students mostly from AMU Aligarh participated in the Camp in which distribution of pamphlets on MSO Introdcution , better way of Haziri at Dargah were distributed.Members also help in various other arrangements.MSO brought ,distributed and sold a special VCD on the occassion.Members were aslo given chance to Interact with Alhaj saeed Noori Sb Raza Academy Mumbai.

Muslim Students Organization of India,(MSO) AMU Unit Organized its 3rd Grand Azmat-e-Rasool Conference on 15th March at 8.00 p.m in the evening in the Kennedy Auditorium of Aligarh Muslim University Aligarh,India.
MSO had Started title Azmat-e Rasool after Organizing Various Annual Conferences with the Name of Jashn-e Ghousul Wara (R.A) in Various Parts of Country.Its Conferences have been graced by the Prominent Personalities of Islamic World Including Allama Qamaruzzaman Khan Azmi President World Islamic Mission London
Mufti Mukarram Ahmad Shahi Imam Fateh puri Masjid Delhi,Maulana Obadullah Khan Azmi (M.P),Saeed Noori (Raza Academy),Abdul Hakeem Al Azhari (Sunni Markaz Kerala),Prof Akhtarul Wasey (Jamia Millia Islami),Prof Aleem Ashraf Jaisi (Urdu University Hyderabad),Prof Liaqat Hussain Moini(Dargah Ajmer) and Vice Chancellors of AMU like Dr.Mamoodurrehman ,Prof V.K Abdul Aziz.The Whole sole guidance of MSO has been its Patron and Widely respected Scholar of Islam and Prof in Urdu department of Aligarh Muslim University Syed Ameen Mian Qaudri Barkati who is Sajjada Nashin of Khankah of Marehra distt Etah U.P.
This year programme was no different in its grandness and was a huge Success as both boys and girls turned up in large number.
The Conference strated with the recitation of verses of Holy Quran by Qari Jawed.
Mohammad Zaid (AMU)and Mohammad Qayamuddin (Jamia) Ateef Mian (Badaun),Dr.Syed Siraj Ajmali (AMU) presented the gift of beautiful na’ats in the praise of prophet (S.A.W).
M.S.O AMU Unit President Mohammad Najmuddin Ahmed Presented Welcome adress then emphasisng the need of Promotion of Sufi teachings of peace and Love in the Country, Guest of Honour Dr.Liyaqat Hussain Moini appealed the Students to adopt Sufi way of Spreading Islam. He said that Sufis taught Love and respect towards Other religions and this was the main reason that they could establish not only themself but made Islam a popular religion in this land where it was not Present even in Minor form.
Chief Guest of Conference, AMU VC Prof P.K Abdul Aziz said that Muslim Youths should follow Our beloved Prophet’s (S.A.W) example Which he gave in each Sphere of Life.Touching the Current Issues he advised Students to be ready by their actions and deeds to Counter the Western propaganda that Islam preaches terorrism and extremism.He praised MSO for Organizing a well managed ,disciplined and beautifull evening.
Speakers of the Conference and head of Darul Ifta Ashrafia University Mubarakpur, Azamagarh Who is also expert in Modern Islamic Problems dealing with Jurisprudence , Mufti Nizamuddin said that Allah Praises Prophet of Islam (S.A.W)and wishes that we must Praise and respect him .Paying Emphasis on the dignity and Love towards Holy Prophet (Sallalahoalaihiwassalam) he Said Unless a Muslim Loves Passionately Prophet(Sallalahoalaihiwassalam) even more than his life property and relatives ,his Imaan remains Incomplete. Honour and Love of Holy Prophet (Sallalahoalaihiwassalam) is Imaan .
The best Example of love and Honour towards beloved prophet (Sallalahoalaihiwassalam) may be seen From acts and deeds of Sahaba-e-Kiram .
Prof Akhtarul Wasey ,Head of Islamic Studies Jamia Millia Islamia said that Students must not forget the acts of Nabi kareem (Sallalahoalaihiwassalam)which were the best examples for whole of the World.We must not get into Inferiority Complex by Western Concepts of Secularism and tolerance as these are the Hall mark of Islamic State and we have Proved them in Our rule from Medina to India.
In Mediana we established peace and Non Muslims were given protection.
We respected and gave honour to Old, women, Child, weak and ill.We administered this Country
for more than 800 years and we were in Minority in this Country and we are still in Minority.Isn’t it a strong evidence that we are Peaceful and Islam was not Spread by Sword ?Indonesia and Malyasia are Muslim Countries but we Know that no Islamic warrior had to do war there.This is the beauty of Islam and that’s why it is fastest Increasing religion of the World.
Presiding the Conference Prof Syed Ameen Mian Qaudri, who is favourite among the Students for his Original and advising words said that neither you should have Inferiority Complex regarding recent Condition of Islamic World nor you should fear about future of Islam beacuse Islam has established itself in every adverse situation in most unbelievable Circumstances at evry nook and Corner of the globe.Allah has Himself promised to keep faith in Him and success will wait for us Open handed.
The thing we need to do is to have Strong Iman in Allah and Passionate love and respect towards beloved Nabi kareem (Sallalahoalaihiwassalam)He advised Students to be ready to face the real and Practical World where One can be Successful Only when he has prepared himself.He told them to study hard and excel in their different Field because in this age the War will be fought not by Swords but by the Mind and those who will Use their Mind according to the most advanced techniques of Sciece and technology will come out Successful.

Muslim Students Organization Of India MSO AMU Unit Organized its 2nd annual Azmat-e-Rasool Conference in the Kennedy Auditorium of Aligarh Muslim University on 12th March 2007,highlighting the Importance and Significance of teachings of Holy Prophet (Sallalahoalaihiwassalam).
Conference was Presided by Prof Syed Mohd Ameen Mian Qaudri . Raza Academy Gen. Secretary Alhaj Mohd Saeed Noori Was the Chief Guest of the Conference . Maulana Mubarak Hussain Misbahi and Dr. Hasan Raza Khan were the Speakers.
Paying Emphasis on the dignity and Love towards Holy Prophet (Sallalahoalaihiwassalam). Maulana Mubarak Hussain Said Unless a Muslim Loves Passionately Prophet(Sallalahoalaihiwassalam) more than his life p,roperty and relatives ,his Imaan remians Incomplete. Honour and Love towards Holy Prophet is life of Imaan .

Dr. Hasan Raza Khan , Director of Arabic and Persian Research Centre Patna asked the Young generation to Complete all the Faraiz Specially Imaan on Ghaib , Namaz , Roza , Haj , Zakat sadkah.He said the Stature and Dignity of Prophet (Sallalahoalaihiwassalam) is Itself put Forwarded by Allah Rabbulizzat in Quran e Kareem . and Wherever the Importance and Stature of Holy Prophet(Sallalahoalaihiwassalam) is discussed in Quran Allah has glorified it manifold.
Discussing the Scientific Importance of Quran e Kareem he suggested Students to read best Urdu Translation of Quran i.e ‘Kanzul Imaan’ and Collection of fatwas in Fatwa e Razwia Written by Imam Ahmed Raza Khan.
Chief Guest Saeed Noori ,Gen Secretary of Raza Academy Mumbai Congratulates MSO and All the Students for organizing Such a Grand Conference on Holy Prophet(Sallalahoalaihiwassalam ).He asked the Students to learn and Spread the Mesage of Islam in Order to face the Contemporary World .
